Honest Seduction: Using Post-Click Marketing to Turn Landing Pages into Game Changers

"The book Honest Seduction outlines a unique and effective "post-click" marketing strategy. The authors believe, rightly so, that a one-page-suits-all landing page doesn't get the job done like it could be done. They have replaced the single landing page with an entire conversion path. The path starts with a segmentation question on the initial landing page, which then leads the visitor down a path much more customized to the visitor's individual needs. The book makes great sense and I am trying to apply its principles to landing pages that I create. The authors' company, IonInteractive, has documented large increases in client conversion rates after their principles were implemented. This book is a long-overdue, fresh approach to marketing to a prospect after the prospect's initial click. I highly recommend this book."

"If you sell any informational product online, you'll want to buy and carefully read anything Stephanie Chandler puts out. I sell an informational product online - the Excel Statistical Master - and I found numerous tips that I was able to put into practice immediately with excellent results. Even in you are just giving away informational to generate leads, this is the book for you. This book provides a clear set of guidelines for selling informational products online. In addition, the book provides a number os interviews with successful infoneurs. I found these interviews as valuable as the other instructional content in the book. Great books for authors and also for people (most likely affiliates) who are selling the informational products of someone else. If you read this, definitely read her other masterpiece - From Entrepreneur to Infopreneur. Both are great. I would rate the latter slightly better and more complete. Both are great books though."

"If you make money with information products, this book is a MUST READ. I sell eManuals from my web site and I was astonished at how wide and complete the author Stephanie Chandler's suggestions were. As I was reading this outstanding book, whenever I came across a new, valueable suggestion that I could implement right away, I wrote the suggestion on any available free space inside the front or back covers. By the time I had finished reading the book, I had more than 70 action items that I could do immediately to increase sales of my eManual, the Excel Statistical Master. To sum up how helpful and valuable I feel that this book is to infopreneurs, this book will be worth 1000's of times what I paid for it after I have implemented the suggestions that came from it. This book was so good that I'm buyin' anything Stephanie Chandler puts out."

"If you do any kind of predictive modeling with Excel, here's your book. Stephen Powell and Kenneth Baker have put together, by far, the most complete and understandable book on how to use Excel to scientifically analyze uncertainty in business decisions. They not only present the theory but also provide clear, step-by-step instructions loaded with with screenshots of Excel in use. The book does a GREAT job at presenting very complicated material in a way that a reasonably proficient Excel user can comprehend without getting a headache. Some of the topics they cover are Monte Carlo simulation, Nonlinear Optimization using Excel's built-in Solver, Networking Models, Linear and Integer Programming in Excel, and combining Optimization with Simulation. No matter how much of a whiz-bang, quant jock in Excel you are, this book will take you to a new level of expertise in using Excel to model uncertainty in order to make better business decisions. I love stuff like this and thought it was fantastic. Propeller Heads, you'll love this book!"

"It is definitely not the easiest how-to book I've ever seen about learning a new software package. The author attempted to make this a thin paperback - it's only about 150 pages - by compressing the text font and screen shots as small as possible. The screen shots were, in many cases, not directly next to text that was associated with that particular screen shot. Many more and larger screen shots are needed to enhance clarity. On the plus side, the author does a good job with clear explanation of the functionality of Adobe Premier Elements 7. Adobe Premier Elements (now in version 8) is a fantastic piece of video-making software with probably 90% of the functionality of Adobe Premier, but at one-tenth of the price. ($80 for Premier Elements vs. $800 for Premier). This book got me started with Premier Elements and I felt like I had basic mastery of the software when I finished the book. I will say that the very small text fonts and screenshots made the journey harder than it should have been. It's too bad because I thought the author was able to articulate the material clearly. With larger fonts and screen shots, it would be an excellent book."
